Crafted from Salvatori Verde Guatemala marble, the new interpretation of the iconic award was designed by Michael Anastassiades
The Verde Guatemala marble, chosen for the Archiproducts 2024 Award for the winning designers, brings an unprecedented touch to this year’s trophy. In contrast to the lunar tones of the previous edition’s Grigio Versilia, Salvatori’s choice for 2024 is an intense green marble with delicate, thread-like white veins, evoking a sense of wild harmony through its rich verdant tones.

Salvatori reimagines the iconic trophy designed by Michael Anastassiades. For this year’s awards, they use a natural stone with a palette of intense greens interlaced with delicate white veins. The deep hues of Verde Guatemala marble, marbled with sinuous patterns, evoke strength yet stillness. Its surface, smooth and velvety to the touch, invites contemplation, almost as if it were an amulet.

This edition’s trophy maintains its essential geometric shape: a prism that rises with a sense of fragility, symbolising the balance between concept and material. However, its surface is now covered in the rich hues of ancient serpentine marble from India, a stone characterised by its cloudy, uniform structure and bright green colour, interspersed with white veins that resemble silver threads woven into fabric.

The deep green of Verde Guatemala Marble evokes both strength and serenity, and its smooth, velvety surface invites reflection – almost like an amulet. The stone’s natural texture and centuries of history create a timeless aura, “suspended between past and present”, reinventing itself like a journey back to the roots to embrace the future.
Salvatori, born in the heart of Versilia, amidst the historic quarries of Carrara, has a heritage dating to the post-war period. Since its foundation by Alfredo Salvatori, the company has constantly reinvented marble, with an always contemporary vision of this ancient material.
