Ilkka Suppanen

Ilkka Suppanen is a Finnish designer based in Milan and Helsinki.

His work spans furniture, lighting, glass, interiors, and exhibition design, combining Nordic clarity with experimental approaches to materials and form. Suppanen has collaborated with leading international manufacturers and galleries, and his work is included in major museum collections worldwide.

Alongside his design practice, he teaches at international universities and frequently serves as a lecturer, curator, and jury member.

His recent work explores the concept of lightness as a design principle, a theme documented in his book Lightness.
