Architect, Giorgio Donà graduates in Architecture in 2011 from the IUAV University of Venice. He begins his career with Stefano Boeri in 2012 and since 2018 he is Partner and Director of Stefano Boeri Interiors, a multidisciplinary studio based in Milan, which operates nationally and internationally, developing projects and research on various scales and fields, specializing in interior design, exhibition design and product design. With Stefano Boeri Interiors he signs important collaborations such as on the occasion of the 2022 edition of Milano Design Week, in which he designs the installation “Galateo. A Journey into Conviviality” for Buccellati and “Floating Forest” for Timberland. Architectural and interior design projects include “La Residence” for the Cartier boutique on Via Montenapoleone in Milan and the “Aula del Futuro” project for Napisan Italia. He participates in several international competitions, receiving awards and honorable mentions, such as for the urban regeneration project ‘Venice City Vision’ with a special jury and the chairman Bjarke Ingels (BIG architects). His work is published in several books like ‘Atlas. New practices for better waste management” (Comieco – 2018), international magazines including “Cityvision Mag” (Independent Architecture Stuff – Issue 4 – 2011), as well as in numerous issues of magazines like Interni, Elle Decor Italia, IoArch, Area, and in several catalogues such as “Fundamentals” (Venice Biennale – 2014), “Reporting from the front” (Venice Biennale – 2016), the ADI Design Index for the project “Across Chinese Cities – Beijing”, “Homo Faber. Crafting a more human future” (Marsilio – 2018) and “Homo Faber. Living Treasures of Europe and Japan (Marsilio – 2022). In 2021, he is co-curator of “supersalone”, the special edition organised for the Salone del Mobile.Milano. In 2023, on the occasion of Milano Desing Week and Interni Magazine’s Fuorisalone, he designs the event installation “Swing” for Amazon Italia and the experience “Living Vibes” for iGuzzini. He is currently engaged in projects and research on different scales, fields and geographies: in addition to working on architecture and interiors, he is involved in exhibition, event and product design. He has participated in several international competitions in which he has been awarded prizes and honorable mentions. In 2011,he receives a special mention for the international competition for a vision and urban regeneration project called “Venice City Vision” with a special jury and the president Bjarke Ingle (BIG architects).
His works have been published in different books and international magazines such as “CityvisionMag”(Indipendent Architecture Stuff – Issue 4 – 2011) and in different catalogues such as “Fundamentals” (Biennale di Venezia – 2014), “Reporting from the front” (Biennale di Venezia – 2016) and the ADI Design Index for the project “Across Chinese Cities – Beijing”.
Giorgio Donà is currently working on several projects in different scale and typology: in addition to interior design, he is involved in the design of exhibitions and events, the development of innovative and exclusive products for companies in the sector, as well as the development of research and art direction. Many of his works have been published in various books such as “Atlas. New practices for better waste management” (Comieco – 2018), different international magazinessuch as “Interni Magazine”, “IoArch” or “Elle Decor” and catalogues such as “Homo Faber. Crafting a more human future” (Marsilio – 2018/2022).
