Born in 1991 in Tournai and based in Brussels, Flavien Servaes is a product designer. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from ENSAV La Cambre and completed an Erasmus exchange at ECAL, where he refined his formal sensitivity and approach to design.
After graduating, he joined the studio of Vincent Van Duysen in Antwerp, where he quickly progressed. Two and a half years later, he was appointed Head of Product Design, a role he continues to hold today. In this position, he develops and leads numerous international collaborations with brands including Molteni&C, Flos, B&B Italia, Kettal, Mutina, Fantini, and Zara Home. His work is defined by a keen attention to materiality, the sensuality of form, and a subtle interplay between objects and their architectural context.
In parallel, he co-founded Bedrossian Servaes with Ani Bedrossian an independent practice dedicated to product and textile design. Through this studio, he explores a more intimate and intuitive dimension of his work, placing strong emphasis on the relationships between objects and their users.
Driven by a search for formal clarity and equilibrium, his work seeks to create pieces that are both grounded and enduring objects that resonate over time and integrate seamlessly into their environments. Through his lens as a designer, he continually investigates what makes an object feel right, essential, and profoundly human.
