Christophe de la Fontaine

Christophe de la Fontaine is a Luxembourgish industrial designer, co-founder and owner of Dante – Goods and Bads, a German based furniture and home accessory brand with international reputation, together with his partner, the contemporary artist Aylin Langreuter.
Starting his education as a sculptor in Luxembourg, he completed his studies with a degree in industrial design from ABK-Stuttgart, taught by Richard Sapper.
After a journey at London based Therefore-Product Design Consultant and Lissoni Associati in Milan, he headed the design department at the studio of Patricia Urquiola until 2010.
Working independently as a product designer ever since he has received numerous international awards, including the Archiproducts design Award, the red dot award, the Good Design award and the iF GOLD DESIGN AWARD while being listed by Wallpaper* among the world’s 100 best designers.
Since 2018 he is professor and now head of the industrial design department at the state academy of fine arts in Stuttgart.
