All set for the seventh edition of the Awards celebrating design excellence worldwide
The Archiproducts Design Awards celebrating global design excellence are back! New faces on the jury and a third award for the best brands in the Sustainability category. The awards will again provide a close-up view of the meeting between designers and brands and the creativity and innovation that take shape from their synergy.
Launched for the first time in 2016, the annual awards promoted by Archiproducts bring together the leading players in the Design world to reflect upon today’s creative scene. This year they are back to support and pay tribute to a sector that, despite the challenges of the last two years, is not only on the upswing but is becoming an effective means of reinterpreting our era from an increasingly responsible and eco-friendly perspective.
With over 750 products submitted by over 400 brands worldwide, the 2021 edition gave prizes to more than 100 products. Last year, the new addition was the Sustainability Mentions, the special recognition of products that stood out for using green materials and focusing on eco-responsible manufacturing processes. Selecting the Winners and Special Mentions was a heterogeneous and multidisciplinary jury of some of the sector’s most influential Designers, Creatives, Art Directors, Editors and Journalists.
The ADA 2022 jury
Between familiar and new faces, the 2022 international ADA Jury continues to reflect the Award’s identity and evolution. Studio Libeskind, Michael Anastassiades, Fabio Fantolino, Davide Angeli, Giovanna Castiglioni, Domitilla Dardi and Chrissa Amuah – are just some of the names who will participate again in this year’s jury.
Joining the jury for the first time are Portuguese architect Manuel Aires Mateus, founder, together with his brother Francisco, of Aires Mateus & Associados; architect Massimo Roj, Founder and Managing Director of Progetto CMR, a company specialising in integrated design that has worked on flexible, efficient and eco-sustainable architecture since 1994; and the French architecture and design studio RDAI, with Artistic Director and General Manager Denis Montel and Managing Director Julia Capp.

The 2022 ADA jury also includes Chris Laugsch, Founder of Welcome Beyond, the famous online platform for booking Boutique Hotels and holiday homes, and Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, renowned for his essential, almost metaphysical style and his important collaborations with international magazines like La Repubblica, The New York Times, Le Monde, The New Yorker and Rolling Stone.
2022 Archiproducts Design Awards: the trophies
Familiar and new for the trophies as well.
The sculptural object designed by the Spanish studio MUT Design will once again be graced with the oxidations of De Castelli metal. The Treviso brand will create the trophy for the winning companies. The object resembling a Möbius strip, its inspiration, experiments with the expressiveness and uniqueness of metal – oxidation after oxidation.
Initiated in 2020, Salvatori will again create the trophy for the Designers of the winning products. The Archiproducts Design Awards logo designed by Michael Anastassiades is the inspiration for the marble monolith.
The big story is the brand new prize for the Special Mention for Sustainability. Introduced for the 2021 ADAs, the trophy goes to products that best reflect the circular economy. An exceptional jury of eco- and sustainable design experts will assess the Brands committed to minimising polluting emissions and the environmental impacts of their products throughout their life cycle, using sustainable and recyclable materials.
Archiproducts reconfirms its media partnership with v2com newswire again. The call for entries for the 2022 edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards is officially open!
Every brand can submit from 1 to 5 products, from Furniture to Lighting, Contract and Building.
The deadline for participation is September 16, 2022.
In October, Archiproduct will announce the Longlist of proposals admitted to the Award’s final phase.
The winners will be made known during the first week of November.
