More than 750 the products competing for the title Winner ADA 2021
Officially closed the application period of the 6thedition of the Archiproducts Design Awards. The number of products contending this year amounts to more than 750. They are joined, for the very first time, by 100 additional submissions for the new “Sustainability” Special Mention prize.
The jury – a multidisciplinary group of architects, designers, creative directors, photographers and professionals versed in eco-design and sustainable design – now has to evaluate each product’s conformity and commitment to fundamental aspects of innovative, ethical and sustainable design that makes a Winner ADA 2021.
Numerous participating brands from all over the world (Europe, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Australia and the United States) have contributed to making the latest edition of this award already an outstanding success:
Herman Miller, MDF Italia, Porada, Stella Works, Natuzzi, Gallotti&Radice, De Padova, Ritzwell, Flou, Wiener GTV Design, Extremis, La Cividina, Mizetto, DesignByThem, Milla & Milli, Potocco, Opinion Ciatti, Magis, Echojazz are the names of some of the brands running in the categories Furniture, Contract and Office.
In the category Lighting are competing, among others, Davide Groppi, Artemide, Centrsvet, Vibia, Brokis, Luceplan, Vistosi, d’Armes. New entries include the Japanese brand Ambientec and the Scandinavian Secto Design.
Samsung, Boffi, Elica, Foster and Rossana are some of the brands competing in the category Kitchen. Also running in 2021 is BT45, the renowned German manufacturer of luxury kitchens
Among the candidates in the category Finishes: Ceramica Sant’Agostino, EmilCeramica, Marazzi, CEDIT Ceramiche d’Italia, Refin, Officinarkitettura, Mardegan, ALPI, Rezina.
This year’s new entry Kos by Zucchetti is joining Devon&Devon, Ceadesign, Nic, Cristina Rubinetterie, Ideal Standard andCeramica Cielo in the category Bathroom.
Also for the first time competing for the title Winner ADA is Roberti. In the category Outdoor the brand is running with Emu, Roda, Ethimo, Desalto, Minotti, Visionnaire Garda Furniture, Kristalia and Pratic.
A blend of colors and materials: in the category Decorcontenders are cc-tapis (Italy), Floor_Story and Deirdre Dyson(UK), GAN (Spain) and Henzel Studio (Sweden), to name but a few.
Schüco, Velux and Ottostumm | Mogs are running in the category Building Shell. ADL is applying for the first time in the category Systems, Components and Materials, along with BTicino, Portapivot, Ekinex and Vimar. Riello is one of the reconfirmed candidates in the category Construction.
Renowned manufacturer Acer has joined this year’s candidates in the category Lifestyle. The list of new entries in the category Wellness includes the Italian brand Glass1989.
Evaluation is to proceed in two stages. At the end of October, the ADA 2021 Longlist will be published. This list includes all products that will enter the final phase. Among the longlisted candidates the jury will subsequently select the Winners ADA 2021. Names will be officially announced in November.
