Announcing the ADA 2023 Longlist

The longlist for the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023 has been released! For the eighth consecutive year, the field of potential winners of the award that celebrates global design excellence is narrowing down.

An international and multidisciplinary jury of designers, architects, photographers and creatives from over ten countries has selected the products for the ADA 2023 Longlist, marking the commencement of the final phase of the Awards.

Once again, the brand winners will receive the trophy that transforms the ADA logo into a three-dimensional stainless steel sculpture crafted by the Spanish studio MUT Design and produced by De Castelli. Distinguishing the 2023 trophy is the unprecedented DeDariè finish, whose bronze tones add warmth to the traditional coldness associated with the material.

The Salvatori marble monolith trophy for the designers of the winning products features a Grigio Versilia finish. This year, the object designed by Michael Anastassiades is clad in light grey marble with iridescent shades ranging from dark grey to cerulean blue.

Joining the now iconic ADA Awards for the first time is the brand new Sustainability trophy, a category judged by a panel of eco-design and sustainability experts from the world of architecture and design. Designed by the AMDL CIRCLE studio under the direction of Michele De Lucchi and produced by Riva 1920 in fragrant Lebanese cedar, the prize is dedicated to all products that align with circular economy and sustainable design principles, emphasising the use of recyclable and biodegradable materials, the reduction of polluting emissions and the minimisation of environmental impact throughout their entire life cycle.

As we await the announcement of the final winners in November, we shine a spotlight on the shortlisted submissions in each category.
