Matteo Milani, associate partner at Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, has been practicing, teaching, and writing about architecture for more than two decades, first in Milan and then in New York, where he has lived since joining PCF&P in 2006. One of the firm’s leading designers, he has contributed to many of its most important recent projects. He worked closely with Henry Cobb on the design of the International African American Museum from its earliest stages and has remained deeply involved with the project to its completion. Other projects he collaborated on with Cobb include Palazzo Lombardia in Milan and Soyak Kristalkule | Finansbank Headquarters in Istanbul. Matteo holds a PhD in urban and architectural design from the Polytechnic University of Milan, where he also received an MS in architecture. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a frequent contributor to Domus and other architectural publications.
