Marco Sammicheli

Marco Sammicheli is curator of the Design, Fashion and Craft sector and director of the Museo del Design Italiano at Triennale Milano. Since 2018, he has also served as the institution’s representative to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris. He has curated exhibitions in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and authored essays and publications for cultural institutions. A columnist for Il Sole 24 Ore and Interni, he has curated books, exhibitions, and research projects on Mario Bellini, Carlo Mollino, and Zaha Hadid. Among his most recent exhibition projects are monographic shows dedicated to Alberto Meda, Inga Sempé, Monica Bolzoni, Franco Raggi, Lella and Massimo Vignelli, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, and Ettore Sottsass at Triennale Milano; the retrospective on Estúdio Campana at the Power Station of Art in Shanghai; and the retrospective on Bruno Munari at the Museo del Novecento in Milan. He is an adjunct professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and serves on the boards of the Collezione Paolo VI, Fondazione Cirulli, Fondazione Vico Magistretti, and Fondazione ITS Arcademy.

Marco Sammicheli è curatore per il settore Design, Moda e Artigianato e direttore del Museo del Design Italiano di Triennale Milano. Dal 2018 ricopre il ruolo di rappresentante presso il Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) di Parigi. Ha curato mostre in Europa, America Latina e Asia, ed è stato autore di saggi e pubblicazioni per diverse istituzioni culturali. Editorialista de Il Sole 24 Ore e Interni, ha curato libri, mostre e progetti di ricerca su Mario Bellini, Carlo Mollino e Zaha Hadid. Tra i suoi progetti espositivi più recenti ci sono le mostre monografiche dedicate ad Alberto Meda, Inga Sempé, Monica Bolzoni, Franco Raggi, Lella e Massimo Vignelli, Edward Barber e Jay Osgerby, Ettore Sottsass in Triennale Milano; la retrospettiva su Estùdio Campana alla Power Station of Art di Shanghai; la retrospettiva su Bruno Munari al Museo del Novecento di Milano. Inoltre è professore a contratto presso l’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano e siede nei board della Collezione Paolo VI, della Fondazione Cirulli, della Fondazione Magistretti e della Fondazione ITS Arcademy.
