Between confirmations and new entries, here are some of the jury members for the latest edition of the ADAs

Submissions for this eighth edition of the awards promoted by Archiproducts to celebrate global design excellence, are officially open.
They will be judged by a prestigious and multidisciplinary international jury of 40 of the most influential names in global creativity.
Yama Karim, Tim Fu and Giorgio Donà are part of the jury that will interpret the signs of contemporary design, aesthetics and function, rewarding the ability to achieve the best synthesis between research and the creative process and to define or anticipate scenarios of use.

Yama Karim, partner at Studio Libeskind, has been selected as a jury member for the ADA for the fifth consecutive year.
He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University, which he obtained in 1995, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of California, Berkeley, completed in 1991.
With a professional background rooted in architectural excellence, Karim joined the New York team in 2003 after collaborating with Daniel Libeskind in Berlin during the late 1990s.
Currently, Karim is leading the master plan and redevelopment of the former trade fair district in Milan, overseeing the ambitious Downtown Tower project in Vilnius, and contributing to various skyscraper and cultural building initiatives across the Middle East. His expertise and vision are instrumental in shaping these significant architectural endeavours. Moreover, Karim has shared his knowledge and experience as a full-time instructor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and a visiting professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.

Tim Fu on the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023
Tim Fu, an architectural designer affiliated with Zaha Hadid Architects in London, was appointed jury member for the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023.
He specialises in algorithmic design and artificial intelligence (AI) research, which he pursues within the ZHACODE computational research group.
Fu focuses on exploring the integration of AI in architecture. His research delves into the application of artificial intelligence, collaborating with numerous furniture and product design brands to explore innovative design possibilities. Furthermore, Fu has conducted workshops on computational design at renowned institutions like Harvard GSD, ACADIA, and PA Academy.
His groundbreaking AI work has garnered international recognition and has been featured in prominent publications like Bloomberg and AD. Fu’s contributions have been showcased at notable events like the GenAI Summit and the Venice Biennale, solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in AI-driven architectural design.

Giorgio Donà on the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023
Architect Giorgio Donà is serving on the ADA jury for the third consecutive year. He graduated with a degree in architecture from the IUAV University of Venice in 2011.
He began his career alongside Stefano Boeri in 2012 – while 2018 is the year in which together they founded the studio Stefano Boeri Interiors, a multidisciplinary reality based in Milan, which operates nationally and internationally, developing projects and research on various scales and fields, specialising in interior design, exhibition design and product design.
The various projects and realisations include important collaborations such as the Buccellati project with the exhibition design ‘Galateo. A Journey into Conviviality’, by Timberland with the ‘Floating Forest’ project at Milan Design Week 2022.
In the field of interior design with the studio he designed, among others, ‘La Residence’ by Cartier for the flagship store in Via Montenapoleone in Milan and the project ‘Aula del Futuro‘ designed for Napisan Italia. He has also participated in several international competitions receiving prizes and honourable mentions, such as for the urban regeneration project ‘Venice City Vision’ with a special jury and the chairman Bjarke Ingels (BIG architects).
His work has been published in several books and catalogues such as ‘Atlas. New practices for better waste management” (Comieco – 2018) and international magazines such as “Cityvision Mag” (Independent Architecture Stuff – Issue 4 – 2011), as well as in numerous issues of magazines such as Interni, Elle Decor Italia, IoArch, Area and in several catalogues such as “Fundamentals” (Venice Biennale – 2014), “Reporting from the front” (Venice Biennale – 2016) the ADI Design Index for the project “Across Chinese Cities – Beijing”, “Homo Faber. Crafting a more human future” (Marsilio – 2018) and “Homo Faber. Living Treasures of Europe and Japan” Marsilio – 2022).
In 2021, he is co-curator for the special edition “supersalone” organised for the Salone del Mobile.Milano and in 2023, on the occasion of Milano Desing Week and Interni Magazine’s Fuorisalone, he designs the event installation “Swing” for Amazon Italia and the experience “Living Vibes” for iGuzzini.
He is currently engaged in projects and research on different scales, fields and geographies: in addition to interior design, he is involved in exhibition and event design and product design.

I believe it is always necessary to focus on the themes of the future that arise from continuous dialogue between disciplines and cultures. Occasions like these Awards help us understand where we are, the speed at which we are moving, and the direction we are taking – to correct our course if necessary – Giorgio Donà.
How to enter
The call for entries for the 2023 edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards is officially open!
Each brand can nominate between 1 and 5 products, from furniture to lighting, from contract to building.
Those who also want to compete for the title of Winner Sustainability ADA 2023 must declare their candidacy and provide documentation demonstrating the use of sustainable materials and technologies.
The deadline for submissions is 8 September 2023.
In October, the long list of proposals for the final phase of the Award will be announced.
Winners will be revealed in November.
