For the tenth edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards, Salvatori crafts the Michael Anastassiades–designed monolith in Crema d’Orcia marble
Light, velvety, dotted with tiny natural pores. For the 2025 edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards, Salvatori has chosen Crema d’Orcia as the stone for the iconic award designed by Michael Anastassiades, destined for the winning designers.

For this tenth edition, last year’s deep Verde Guatemala tones give way to the soft, creamy Crema d’Orcia marble. Its surface—silky and smooth to the touch—is marked by tiny natural pores: not imperfections, but authentic traces that make each piece unique.
Anastassiades’ monolithic design retains its signature identity: a compact, pure volume whose planes and proportions interact with the marble’s texture. No two surfaces are the same; every block, carefully handcrafted, carries subtle colour variations and tiny marks that tell the story of its geological origin.

“When we created Crema d’Orcia, we wanted a stone that conveys warmth and softness, not distance,” says Gabriele Salvatori, CEO and Artistic Director of the Tuscan brand, emphasising its departure from marble’s typical coldness. A light, creamy stone with small natural imperfections, it transforms with the light, revealing ever-changing shades and nuances.
