Riva 1920 and AMDL Circle renew their collaboration with Archiproducts: a wooden trophy celebrating sustainability in design

An object that tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and respect for the life cycle of materials. For the 2025 edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards, the Sustainability Prize reaffirms its role as an observatory of responsible design, celebrating brands that place sustainability at the heart of their work. Once again, for the tenth edition of the ADA Awards, the winners will receive a unique piece designed by Michele De Lucchi’s AMDL Circle and crafted by Riva 1920 from fragrant Lebanese cedar wood.

The trophy takes shape as a composition of diverse elements in dialogue with one another: natural essences, contemporary forms, and artisanal sensitivity.

The design remains true to AMDL Circle’s original inspiration, echoing the hexagonal geometry of the ADA logo. The circular base rises upward, forming an inclined hexagon ready to be held. The choice of aromatic, durable cedar wood — sourced from trees recovered after natural events or controlled fellings — embodies the idea of a virtuous cycle, the very essence of the Sustainability Award.
