Between returns and confirmations, here are some jury members for the ninth edition of the ADAs
The ninth edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards welcomes the return to the jury of Norm Architects, who were absent from the previous two editions, and the renewal of Amelia Tavella and Yama Karim from Studio Libeskind.
Submissions are now officially open for the ninth edition of the awards, promoted by Archiproducts to recognise global design excellence.
A prestigious, multidisciplinary, international jury of more than 30 influential names in global creativity will evaluate the participating projects.

Norm Architects, Amelia Tavella and Yama Karim are part of this jury, which will interpret the signs of the times aesthetically and functionally, rewarding those who can achieve the best synthesis between research and creativity, defining or anticipating new use scenarios.
Norm Architects on the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024

Norm Architects
Norm Architects is a multidisciplinary studio that uses design to enrich everyday life.
Founded in 2008, the practice is driven by the belief that architecture, interior design, and product design can and should re-sensualise the modern human lifestyle.
Projects of all scales are guided by the essential and universal needs of the body and mind to achieve results that feel as good as they look and age gracefully.

Through natural materials, simple geometries and carefully composed atmospheres, the studio aims to nurture all five human senses, support the human form and provide lasting functionality.
Based in Copenhagen, the studio blends Scandinavian traditions with an international perspective and cultural curiosity to create site-specific spaces and objects of exceptional craftsmanship, beauty and longevity.
Amelia Tavella on the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024

Amelia Tavella
Born in Corsica, whose beautiful landscapes opened her to all horizons, Amelia Tavella has been described by the Institut Choiseul Ville de Demain as “a rising star of French architecture”.
Her architectural signature, linked to the sensuality of noble and natural materials, is the mark of constant work on the memory of places, particularly in the Mediterranean. Several talent hunters have chosen to honour the artistic approach that characterises Amelia Tavella’s work.
In 2021, she was named Chevalier of the National Order of Merit by the Grand Chancellery of the Legion of Honour.
“The Mediterranean is my matrix. I come from there, from this unique place. Child of the maquis and the sands, I learned the complexity of my job as an architect here. Sea, rock, beach, my femininity embraced the femininity of this sea, exercising with delicacy, reweaving damaged lace, taking inspiration from sediments, soft, original material. My island taught me light, color, slope, constantly reminding me that there is no valid creation without ethics and that his- tory is the cradle of the present. This is how my artistic approach is built, originally linked to my roots.”

Her unique creative process is manifested in various achievements, notably the A Strega school, the Casa Santa Teresa, the Saint-François convent, the Corsican flagship of Sotheby’s, the landscaping and urban development of the Ajaccio citadel, the Edmond Simeoni school in Lumio, the Simone Veil school in Villeurbanne and, more recently, the Henri Tomasi Conservatory in Ajaccio in collaboration with Rudy Ricciotti.
Her “sensitive” architecture evolves according to its context. Amelia Tavella never separates the building from the space, the work of nature or the city. It is always a marriage between what is and what will be. Her relationship with materials is sensual, which is why she chose the theme of Skin to articulate and illustrate the May 2023 issue of the Italian architecture magazine IQD, of which she is editor-in-chief, a theme that was taken up in a round table at La Cité de l’Architecture and Heritage for the Carte Blanche – City, which in the same year hosted the copper installation of its Saint-Francois Convent for the Duos of the Architectural Platform, followed by a conference with the Barcelona architect Carles Enrich and the Catalan architecture critic Ivan Blasi.
Amelia Tavella exhibited part of her work at La Galerie d’Architecture in February 2024.
She will be the focus of the special issue of Architecture d’Aujourd’hui at the end of 2024.
She is a finalist for the prestigious Mies van der Rohe 2024 European Architecture Prize.
Her practice is multifaceted, and her interventions are precious. For Amelia Tavella, architecture brings together the human sciences, literature, photography, and sculpture. “Expressing the diversity of the world” could be her motto.
