Matteo Ward, Ludovico Crisi and Satya Cacioppe join the jury for the ADA Sustainability Award 2024

The visionaries from WRÅD and SOM join the expert jury to evaluate the most innovative and responsible projects in sustainable design

 

Matteo Ward and Ludovico Crisi – co-founders and Head of Art&Interiors at WRÅD respectively – and Satya Cacioppe – Head of Product Development at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) –  on the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 Sustainability Award.
They will join leading experts in eco-design to evaluate projects shaping the future of responsible design.

Submissions for the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 are now closed.
The longlist of entries that will move on to the final stage of the Awards will be announced in October, with winners revealed in November.

Matteo Ward and Ludovico Crisi, on the ADA 2024 jury, will bring WRÅD’s vision to the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024. WRÅD, now an international leader in ethical fashion, began as a pioneering project focus on rethinking the future of fashion through sustainability.

Matteo Ward, visionary CEO and co-founder of WRÅD shifted from traditional fashion to transform WRÅD into a benchmark for regenerative practices and environmental education within the textile industry. His mission is to use design for social impact, promoting practices that respect people and the planet. With passion and determination, he is leading a movement that challenges the status quo, inspiring businesses and consumers to embrace a more conscious and responsible future.
Matteo’s influence extends beyond WRÅD as co-founder of Fashion Revolution Italia, a platform advocating for a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry. As a university lecturer and public speaker, he continues his commitment to educating and inspiring others on the importance of sustainability in the fashion industry.

In 2023, he co-wrote and presented JUNK, a documentary co-produced by Sky Italia and Will Media that exposed the global damage caused by fast fashion. That same year, the FAO nominated him a ‘Food Hero’ for his activism in promoting sustainable practices. In 2024, he served as a textile expert for the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus. Recently, he published a children’s book with FAO and WRÅD to raise awareness among the younger generation about the sustainable connections between textile and food supply chains.

Ludovico Crisi leads  WRÅD’s Art&Interiors department. Since 2019, he has also served as an advisor and researcher supporting the company’s educational projects in interior and product design while working closely with schools and companies.
Ludovico is also Head of Custom Work Sales & Design at Dainese, overseeing design and marketing for the group’s bespoke products.

Satya Cacioppe joins the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 Sustainability Jury

Architect and designer Satya Cacioppe, Head of Product Development at the American firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), joins the ADA 2024 jury.

SOM is a global leader in architecture and engineering, known for its innovative and iconic urban, architectural and structural projects and intense focus on sustainability and cutting-edge design.

As SOM’s Head of Product Development, she oversees conceptual design, development and product management, driving innovation and excellence across the firm’s diverse portfolio. In this role, Satya leads the design of new furniture lines, continuing the firm’s long tradition of creating new products and finishes.

Before joining SOM, Satya held positions at Rivian, a company specialising in electric vehicles, and Kelly Wearstler, a firm focused on architecture, interiors and industrial design, where she led all product design categories for retail, commercial and contract projects.
