A ‘mirror’ finish adorns the iconic AISI 316L stainless steel object designed and manufactured by CEADESIGN
The gleaming silver reflections of polished stainless steel bring elegance to the Archiproducts Design Awards 2024 Jury Seal. Once again, CEADESIGN creates the small polished miniature architecture that evokes the archetype of the home.
Following the deep tones of the Black Ivory finish of the 2023 edition, CEADESIGN introduces polished stainless steel for 2024, a “mirror-like” finish highlighting the purity of eco-friendly and recyclable AISI 316L stainless steel.
Launched for the 2022 edition of the Archiproducts Design Awards, the refined CEADESIGN stainless steel house serves as an official “seal” of appreciation for jurors, recognising their invaluable contributions to a highly complex evaluation process requiring both expertise and sensitivity. The trophy’s simple geometry symbolises an even more profound concept: the home as a vessel of experience and passion for architecture and design.
This passion for architecture and design lies at the heart of the CEADESIGN journey. After 23 years in the plumbing and heating sector, CEADESIGN transitioned to design in 2007, aiming to blend technology, aesthetics, clean lines and plumbing technology. The result is a product that reflects all the themes of contemporary architecture: technical and construction challenges, alternative materials and environmental responsibility.
CEADESIGN chooses AISI 316L stainless steel for all its products, aligning with principles of sustainability and environmental protection. Stainless steel is an environmentally friendly material requiring significantly lower production temperatures than other metals. CEADESIGN employs cold working techniques for stainless steel, exclusively using high-precision CNC machines.
Founding partners Natalino Malasorti – a visionary entrepreneur, artistic director, designer and technician of CEADESIGN products – and his wife Roberta Bertacco, who manages the brand’s commercial growth, have guided CEADESIGN with dedication toward international success and leadership in designer taps and fittings. Their efforts have produced best-selling collections like Giotto, Ziqq and Innovo, along with experimental projects like Hook, a modular and flexible tap with support elements, and Abaco, a unique modular bathroom system integrating all bathroom technology in a single unit.
“We are reinforcing our partnership with CEADESIGN for this year’s ADAs,” says Enzo Maiorano, Creative Director of Archiproducts. “We have followed and admired Roberta and Natalino for years, recognising their brilliant journey in design, which has positioned them as pioneers of stainless steel in interiors. To us, CEADESIGN embodies courage, technological innovation, attention to detail and a visionary approach to creating timeless icons. Together, we developed the idea of a seal for jurors – an object symbolising the sensitivity and expertise with which each juror has understood and interpreted the signs of the times, both aesthetically and conceptually. Could there be a better partner for this recognition?”
